The Hungarian mezzo-soprano Emma Vámos, born in 2021 into a family of musicians, began her musical training at an early age. She received her initial vocal education in Budapest from Lídia Tassonyiné Zalay, after which she attended the prestigious Bartók Béla Conservatorium (2020–2023) under the tutelage of Veronika Dobi-Kiss. Parallel to her musical path, she completed studies in Philology specializing in Art History and Theater Studies at the Károli Gáspár University. Since 2023, she has been pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Singing at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, studying with Ildikó Iván and Mariann Szelényiné Holló.  

Emma Vámos has enriched her artistic development by participating in masterclasses and academies with distinguished artists, including Éva Marton, Thomas Quasthoff, Emőke Baráth, Ingrid Kertesi, Malin Hartelius, Constance Fee, Elisabeth Scholl, and György Vashegyi at events such as the Crescendo Summer Academy and Early Music Days. In 2025, she participated in the Cesti Competition at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, and in 2026, she won 2nd Prize at the Emil Petrovics Contemporary Singing Competition in Debrecen.  

On the opera and concert stage, Emma Vámos has performed a versatile repertoire spanning Early Music, Classical opera, and Contemporary works. Her stage performances include Hyppolita in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Hungarian State Opera (Bánffy Hall) and Anyó in Furák–Kocsák–Erdős’s Hófehér és Rózsapiros at the Liszt Academy’s Solti Hall. She also participated in the international opera collaboration Somewhere over the Voices between the Liszt Academy and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, featuring arias by Handel, Gluck, Haydn, and Rossini. As a concert soloist, she performed the mezzo-soprano solo in J.S. Bach’s Magnificat (BWV 243) under Salamon Kamp at the Liszt Academy Great Hall, as well as György Orbán’s Magnificat and contemporary song recitals at the Valley of Arts (Művészetek Völgye) Festival. Her upcoming season brought the opportunity to perform in the Hungarian Music Academy's great hall again as a soloist in Berlioz's Messe Solennelle, and to take part in a youth opera project with the Festival Orchestra.

Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Isabella (L'italiana in Algeri), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Messaggiera (L'Orfeo), and Ottavia (L'incoronazione di Poppea).
